We organise a number of short creative and trade skills courses. These courses are focused more on productive leisure than on vocational training and development.

Introduction to Candle making

This course introduces young people to candle-making & glass painting techniques. Young people have the opportunity to experiment with different moulds, which enable them to make scented candle of various designs & shapes and finish glassware that they can take home to share with family members or friends.

• Sessions: 4 (12 hrs)
• Age groups: 13-16 and 16-19

Introduction to Trade Skills

This course offers young people a unique opportunity to learn aspects of building maintenance and introduces participants to the following areas within a team setting: work based Health and Safety, Safe use of hand tools, plumbing (speed fit), tiling or painting & decorating. Participants are encouraged to choose one specific area of interest and develop an understanding of tools and equipment used to complete the practical tasks.
